yeah i walked but we only lived about 5 blocks from school and it was a very small town so i was fine.

For Kindergarten and First grade I walked about 1 miles to school. It was a little country school for grades K-12. lol Yes it was a long time ago. (1960) In second grade I started to ride the bus to school in town. The little school house is still there and has been transformed into a Daycare . Heck no I didn't cry! I'm a country girl.........can handle most anything! lol

I always walked to school and it was only hard if I knew that I had trouble waiting for me from the teachers - then it was a *long* walk!

my sister and i used to have to walk a mile to school and the same way home...no we didn't cry for our mum, but we got in trouble for threatening to beat up some girl... a few times
