Person 1 said "is it better to be an artist or musician"?
Person 2 said "technically, they're both artists."
Person 1 said "yeah, but one you listen to and the other you mock."
What does this person one mean in their last statement? Do we listen to artists and mock musicians, or do we listen to musicians and mock artists?

you listen to the musicians and mock the expressions portrayed by art......like does life mi mick art or does art mi mick life....old cliche'.

Maybe Person 1 is referring to the statement that 'art imitates life'? It makes more sense to me the idea that we listen to musicians and mock artists. Not that artists should be mocked, but I don't think they get as much respect as a musician (unless we're talking Van Gogh, Seurat or Millet).

if you are an artist you tend to mock musicians and if you are a musician you tend to make fun of artists....but both are actually 'artists'..in the sense that they are proffesionals or artistic people in their own chosen field...bit idiotic isnt it...
