The observation of the heavens point to the after-effects of the big bang.....ie, cosmic background radiation, the so-called Doplar effect or redshift of an expanding space, whereas there is not one scintella of evidence for a supernatural entity creating the world....

It is not an either/or question. If God exists, He can work through nature to accomplish His goals.
I think it interesting that many scientists, including Einstein, rejected the Big Bang theory because of their anti-religious philosophies. In fact, the phrase "Big Bang", invented by a leading physicist of the time, was originally intended to be derogatory. The reason Einstein rejected it was because it sounded too much like the story in Genesis, "in the beginning, God". Einstein and many others would have preferred a universe that had always existed.

I think there was an eternal spiritual presence around, which made whatever that presence actually is involved, like a god I guess, but there was also a big bang... our galaxy sort of exploded into being, and evolution took place, etc.
I can't follow the tenets of organized religion, but I do feel something is eternal, so that thing would also be everywhere and so involved in our small planet's coming into being.
Did you know China recently evacuated 1.8 million people because of a typhoon? 1.8 million people evacuated. Imagine. Ah China, such a mysterious and huge land.

I wasn't there, but I believe that God created the heavens, the earth and all therein (Genesis 1:1). I'm not sure how God created all things. However, the initial creation must have involved a great amount of energy in harmony with Einstein's theory of relativity. At least, that is my take on things.

Forgetabout the creation of the world. The creation of humanity started with the knowledge of demarcation in time.
When the earliest clusters of people discovered that there was a cycle for when to hunt and when to plant and where to be - there was established a new sense of time in terms of past, present and future. Literally all cultures share this in common in their origin.

it was god and the big bang, both the same, and it is a mystery. the big bang is what scientists can "hear" of the word of creation.
