i have bought a replacement i just need to remove the existing one and switch it out with the new keyboard.

This is pretty easy to do. Try the Dell support site.
Here is how to replace the keyboard and remove the hinge respectively.

Do you have a replacement, or just want to know how to replace it? If the former, you can get one here.

If the latter, have an experienced technician do the replacement, doing it yourself is not a good idea.

call dell or do a dell chat on line. They should be able to hook you up with an diagram.
