I do know one guy, 50's divorced, married a super hot girl from the Philippines and are starting a new family. She is beautiful, nice and doesn't have all the attitude of a westernized woman.
Personally I have always dated super independent girls...but I'm getting a bit tired of the constant vying for the upper hand and women who set up no win situations for no good reason.
I'm not interested in a mail order bride, I think there is a good chance of getting scammed or of being married to someone totally incompatible. But I would be very interested in meeting an old fashioned woman perhaps Asian or Latin and taking a break from western girls and all their drama.

Oh please.. do you think people are like commodities?
Put yourself in the shoes of a mail order bride. Would you happily be sold for a small dowry and serve your spouse forever? Would you be able to invoke true sympathy and love for the spouse who purchased you online?
Please, answer this, and your mail order bride will feel the same way. We're all the same underneath. A mail order bride is no less a human being.
What you get is exchange though; she agrees to marry you for a reason, and you can be 90% sure it is not love. Unless, of course, through the strike of miraculous fate, synchronicity has brought the m-o-bride as a gift from the universe, as a soulmate. This is really a one-in-a-million chance.

I don't think you should ever marry a mail order bride. They just want a free pass to America or Britain and then they steal your money especially the Russian mail order brides. Find a chick in your own country to marry.

Every man I've ever known who married a mail order bride ended up being screwed. As soon as she got her green card and was able to bring her family over, she left him. Many men need to realize that these women often aren't looking for love. They're looking to escape the poverty back home and marrying a stranger from a different culture is one way they can do it.

In your case, I think it's a wonderful idea and certainly your only chance at a "relationship." I wish you exactly what you deserve, and your new bride a chance for a better life.

don't they usually just divorce the man after they get the citizenship they're looking for?
Plus, you really have no idea what your getting. You barely know each other, so she's obviously not that into you for you. Of course she's going to be sweet as pie until she gets that ring on her finger. What happens after that is anyone's guess.

One of my great-grandfathers got one. She wouldn't live in the same house with his 16 children. She wouldn't cook for them or have anything to do with them. So add that to the trauma of their mother's death... my grandma was pretty messed up.
