yeah, 6 months later, i am still in disbeleif that they fired marty.
how can you fire a coach who led you to a 14-2 season?
most coaches get fired for taking stupid risks! this guy got fired because he played a conservative style ball that only lost him 3 games including playoffs.
here sits norv turner, a coach with a sub .500 winning record, as the chargers stan 1-1.
i liked martyball, and philip rivers isnt good enough to be throwing 2-3 times every down.
Lt's stats are probably taking a dip too the loss of schotty.
good bye repeat mvp!

i'm undecided if he's the suitable coach. He exchange into the suitable attainable man or woman. relax of different applicants i've got self belief did no longer have previous head practise experience so as that performed an element, i think of. additionally i do no longer think of he will have conflicts with the GM like Marty did. GM needed a "definite guy" for my area. on the different hand, i understand that Norv Turner is greater effective as a coordinator than a head coach. he's no longer a discipline sort of coach and had some problems in coping with gamers interior the previous. He had some good years in Washington. His time with Oakland should not be seen. ought to all people have completed greater effective?? Doubt it.

hey it's not Norv, but the ownership that fired Marty. Each team in the last two years that had the best record in the league, but didn't advance to the super bowl did the year after (pittsburgh, indy). It was San Diego's turn but they fired their coach and now the team doesn't look as great as it has the past couple of years. If the team doesn't win the division and advance in the playoff, then the GM should be fired!!!

It's him and that's what the Chargers get for firing a 14-2 head coach to hire a guy that's what 25-30 games under .500 as a head coach.

calm down. the chargers will be fine. dont overreact to just 1 loss. it wasnt like they lost to the raiders or anything. they lost to the best team in the league, theres no shame in saying we lost to the patriots. and besides the teams norv coached all sucked @$$. this is the 1st team he has ever coached that has actual talent on it. sure the chargers wont win 14 games again, but the chargers should still be superbowl contenders.

I wish Schottenheimer was still the coach. He got fired cause AJ Smith the GM didn't like him. They disagreed about certain things. Thats also why they let Donnie Edwards go, someone in the chargers offices didn't like him. I think thats one of the reasons why they looked like a high school team on sunday. Edwards was a smart player who knew how to play his position.

I agree. The team on sunday looked completely unprepared and not ready to compete at a high level. Sounds like coaching to me.

I do. I watched Norvs' press conference and he just seemed totally lost, he was unable to even form a coherent answer to the simplest question.
