Maybe it's just your way of getting your partners attention. Try and get them to go to couples therapy, so you can talk about whatever is bothering you. Compromise could be the answer. You aren't insane, you just did something a little insane. Good luck.

I would not say insane, but some definite personality &/or coping issues. I am concerned how you might react in a real crisis. I would suggest you see a therapist to explore these issues before you actually hurt yourself beyond repair.

I imagine that might depend on the conversation? It's certainly within the realm of possibility that this person may have been talking suicide at that moment. I don't think they were discussing grandma's apple pie recipe but yes, it's pretty insane.

Why did you have to cut your wrist? Did you feel that you are being taken for granted? Did you forget what you have accomplished and what you are made of? No, it is not insanity. It's more of YOU taking yourself for granted and forgetting that you are valuable.

It's extremely stupid, not to mention passive-aggressive. But not insane. There are better ways to get people to listen to you.

I would say that isn't normal and you need to see someone to work on this. It will definitely ruin your relationships.
