I have two rather small (probaly baby) Red Eared Slider turtles. They are in a 20 gallon aquarium made especially for turles. They have a filter, and a floating basking rock. When I got them, they were in a tiny little box..and were only being fed these rather nasty looking pellets. They swim around, and dont seem to be too unhappy at this point in time, but they wont seem to eat. I have tried lettuce, natural aquatic turtle food(pellets) and Turtle Treats which is like I believe Krill. I have never had a turtle before, and I am concerned about them not eating. I leave the food in the aquarium, and in the water to soften for 1 hour, and there is no response. Someone please help me.

I appreciate your efforts on their part. Give a look at http://www.redearslider.com and see how your cares line up with their suggestions. You might find you need to tweak a few things- like water temp (aim for 75-80F).

Give them pieces of worms. If they eat that you just need to adjust their diet to something they like.
