I think a $500,000 fine got them to straighten out their act. The thing you have to understand is that this was a pretty common practice in college and pro football. The new commissioner thankfully is cracking down on a lot of the problems in football, but many other teams were doing this too. It just so happens that the Patriots were the ones caught last week. If you can, watch the segment of Fox NFL Sunday with Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer. They both admitted having done this at the college, and on a lesser scale, the pro level. These are two pretty accomplished coaches. Many players came out and said if you aren't cheating you aren't trying. I am not condoning cheating, but am merely saying that the this is nothing new, and the Patriots weren't the only team doing it. They got talent and can win they have and will continue to prove it. Go Lions!!!!

The Chargers were so God-awful on Sunday that this is a moot point. The Patriots didn't need to cheat to win this game easily. Besides, the teams change their calls frequently, so libraries of films wouldn't help much. They won't cheat again this year. No way. They are already losing a first round draft pick and over a half million dollars. How stupid do you think they are? Besides, how do we know the CHARGERS didn't cheat and lose anyway? They were pretty bad.

Ok..Norv Turner literally locked up his gameplan, there was monitors making ure they didn't have extra cameras
Maybe they will cheat again..I doubt this year but DEFINATLEY not in that game.
And if you aiming at they already had their signs..no they didn't..it's a different season with a different coach..they changed their signs.
Belichek thought he was allowed to do what he did...I'm sick of answering this same question over and over. People need to stop bitching and start realizing the Pats are a good team.

Yes the Patriots won fair on Sunday, and if they did use tapes from last year, then the Chargers deserved to loose. Every team in the NFL and every other sport steals signs, if you are to dumb to change up your signs on a regular basis, you deserve to have them stolen. The guy is standing in plain sight for everyone to see, if people aren't video taping them, they have people writing down the motions and what the play is to try to figure out what it means. In baseball the guy on second looks at the catcher to try to tell the batter what is coming, or the coaches watch the base coaches to try to crack their code. Every team in every sport that uses signs tries to steal them. I don't see what the big deal is. The problem here is that the teams are to dumb to change up their signs, so that what you see one week means absolutely nothing the next.

hell no they didn't win fairly! Belicheck is a ****** cheater and he probably used tapes from last season when they faced the chargers in the playoffs. if you look on espn.com they already have suspicions of Belicheck still using tapes from last season and they are wondering if Belicheck cheated when they won the Super Bowls. what i think is that the patriots are cheating son of a bitches. no wonder everybody has thought Belicheck as the genius of football and that Brady is the best qb since Joe Montana. All scandalism

tapes probably didn't matter anyways, after this came out, I'm sure everyone and their mom changed their signals, especially the Chargers.
