hello friends-does anybody know the release date for grindhouse on dvd?
i missed it in the theater last april and wanna see it bad!
i been seeing ads but no relaese dates?!!

..."Death Proof" was, indeed, released yesterday; I originally wasn't going to purchase this film separately, along with "Planet Terror", which comes out in October; however, if you go to your local Best Buy, they are selling an exclusive limited edition version of "Death Proof", which I pretty much deemed purchaseable and collectable. The two-disc edition comes in a steelbook case, and contained not only a third DVD, featuring the half-hour "Grindhouse" T.V. special, which was shown on Spike and The Sci-Fi Channel, but it also contains a $5 coupon for the purchase of the two-disc edition of "Planet Terror"; hopefully, a steelbook edition of that film will be available, as well...
...as I said, I originally wasn't going to get suckered into buying "Death Proof" and "Planet Terror" separately, and then fork out my hard-earned money for the complete "Grindhouse", when IT comes out, eventually; however, Best Buy put out a pretty impressive and collectable package...so, what the hell; I went for it!!!
...no definitive word on the eventual release of the true version of "Grindhouse"; stay tuned...

They are releasing it in two parts instead of one. I bought Death Proof that came out today, and I guess Planet Terror will be a little later. (DP does have a $5 off coupon for PT though)
