Do you ever hear a white wide receiver say he has to do a little bit more because there's less whites at the position? What a ridiculous and absurd complaint by Donovan McNabb.
Doesn't McNabb ever think first before he talks?

I read that article, too. The first thing I thought was that he was playing the race card. After thinking about it a little while, I realized he was just being a crybaby. If he did a LITTLE MORE, he wouldn't be whining about it because people wouldn't be criticizing him. Would somebody get him a bottle and change his diaper!

playaplayagame seems way off course on his answer.
"top three quarterbacks 1. Peyton Manning 2. Tom Brady
3. Carson Palmer Now tell me why Carson is number 3, despite the fact that his team has never been to the AFC championship under his watch, and McNabb has been to four NFC championship games and a Super Bowl, yet he doesn't even crack the top three. Carson was injured and he still remains at number 3. Why is that?!!! Where Steve McNair?!! Mike Vick?!! Culpepper?!!! Lechwich?!"
Simply those are the 3 best, Mcnabb would've made the list 3 years ago. Mcnair had a couple good years, but never was a great passer, Vick has never been a good passer, Culpepper is now on his 3rd team and couldn't beat out Josh McNown, Leftwich got beat out by Garrard and then nobody wanted him at first. Oh, and guess who the 3 leaders in passing yards are right now, yup you listed them! Garrard is actually 13th in yards, but that makes him #1 among black QB's.

"4. Ben Roshlesbuger 5. Matt Hassleback"
I would rank Mcnabb 4th ahead of Hassleback personally.

"And don't give me that argument about Rex Grossman getting criticized. If Rex was black, he won't be in the league now."
That's not true...he'd just be moved to WR!_!

"Don't believe me --- ask Aaron Brooks!!"
Yes, good example of a guy who made it to the playoffs once and lost, then couldn't even win the Raiders job last year. Amazing how his whole family has thrown away their talent is on the street now. (Mike/Marcus Vick, Aaron Brooks their cousin)
I agree with the guy asking the question, there just aren't that many good black quarterbacks in the league, maybe if Vince Young had some receivers he could step up his game.

Professional sports is one venue where race is just not a factor. If you excel at position, you will get due credit from the fans and media. If you're playing the race card, you're making excuses for your own short comings. If McNabb throws 50 TD's in a season or starts 239 consecutive games, he'll get the same praise as Manning and Favre.

But i have to ask the question again....Did McNabb say that White people/White media are the ones putting pressure on him? No he didn't. It wasn't even inferred. The Black players in his own locker room turned on him during the T.O. fiasco and the head of the NAACP questioned his "becoming a pocket quarterback". None of these people were white.

I think thats pretty hilarious coming from a guy making how much a year? What is he whining and complaining about? And how's that supposed to make everyone else feel, when we have to do a little bit more every day, just to keep our jobs and keep food on the table? Way to go McNabb. Now I've officially lost ALL respect for you.

mcnabb is an idiot and wanting a free hand out and wanting something for nothing! he is the racist! The white qb's get more bad press than the blacks because the media is scared to offend a black person. Like it or not Rush Limbaugh was 110% CORRECT! I am sick of having a black guy pushed down my throat in the media as good just due to his color! let all layers actions speak for the player not their color!

Dude, I agree that McNabb is a B_itch, but his argument has legs. Check this out!!! I have done this poll with many of my associates and they all agree. Name the top three quarterbacks in the league. Every one of them, 100 people to be exact, and they all picked these players ---

1. Peyton Manning
2. Tom Brady
3. Carson Palmer

Now tell me why Carson is number 3, despite the fact that his team has never been to the AFC championship under his watch, and McNabb has been to four NFC championship games and a Super Bowl, yet he doesn't even crack the top three. Carson was injured and he still remains at number 3. Why is that?!!! Where Steve McNair?!! Mike Vick?!! Culpepper?!!! Lechwich?! All of these aforementioned quarterbacks have victories over the top three quarterbacks, yet they aren't even in the conversation of great quarterbacks. Why is that?!! Hell, McNair had the best season ever for a black quarterback and he still had to share it with Manning. What?! When Vick had that great run when he broke the rushing record for a quarterback, he didn't even get mention for MVP. What?! C'mon, the facts clearly show that even if Manning had a great statistically year and they don't make the playoffs, he will still get mentioned for M.V.P. But McNabb could go to the Super Bowl and he will still be considered an average quarterback. Hell, check this out!! I asked as a bonus the next two quarterbacks in the league and they all said ---

4. Ben Roshlesbuger
5. Matt Hassleback

What?!! Neither of these guys is black, right?!! Yet McNabb and McNair are even in the mix. For the record, I'm not saying that race has anything to do with performance, but if you look at it from McNabb's point of view, you see why a black quarterback has to do more than a white quarterback. And don't give me that argument about Rex Grossman getting criticized. If Rex was black, he won't be in the league now. Don't believe me --- ask Aaron Brooks!! This argument certainly has legs. Thanks for the vine. Holla ata playa playa!!! Game!!!

I'm not sure if he thinks or not...but if he doesn't he should sure start trying. It's comments like those that make people lose respect for a person, which could be why he feels that African Americans have "more to do". I mean look at Michael Vick, who a majority of the population have lost respect for, because of his off field antics. I personally don't think race has anything to do with it. Going off of what you said, that could be like white kickers saying they have it the hardest....

Donovan has officially become public enemy number one in Philadelphia. He should have kept his mouth shut and let Bryant Gumbel foam at the lips. Actually, he shouldn't have done the interview at all and spent more time practicing. If he had done that Philly fans would be more inclined to give him a bye.
