There are 3 steps to getting a job at BBY.
1) Go to bestbuy.com and click the link for employment. This is your first interview. You will be asked for your identifying info--name, adddress, phone, etc. You will also take a test basically to determine your honesty or ethics. Before you answer each question say to yourself, "how would I want a person to answer this question if I owned the store and everyting in it?"
2) You will be called to the store for a second interview. Before you go to that interview, visit a store as a customer and observe how the employees dress, their basic personalities, and how they interact with customers and each other. Be sure you dress for your interview at least as well as the employees dress. No, you don't have to wear a blue shirt, but at least a shirt with a collar, dress slacks (absolutely no jeans), shoes (no sneakers), and a belt the same color as your shoes that keeps your slacks up around your waist. If you have tatoos, cover them. No more than 2 earings per ear for women, 1 for men, and no other piercings. Best Buy does not allow tatoos that show when you are dressed in your work uniform. If you have them, don't apply.
3) Third interview with the store General Manager. At this point, they want to offer you a job. BUT, you must pass a drug test, credit check, and criminal background check to get hired. This is a very straight-laced company from Minnesota with conservative middle-America values.
Best Buy's Mission: We make life fun an easy.
It is a great place to work. Take it from a 5-year former employee (I'm retired now).

No, but I've heard of people failing the personality test.
