lol... hmm.. be cute (hey, some Emo dudes are really cute), let your hair grow and cover your face, adquire nostalgia remembering the good old times, think about your hopeless future, become depressed about something (if you are not already according to your name), buy a sketch notebook and have it with you anywhere, get artistic and be a good drawer so you can express your sad emotions, use the same layout on MySpace that I have: http://www.myspace.com/kimberly2930 , arrive late to school, cry in the bathroom, have blades in your bedroom so you can cut yourself when your parents are not around, listen Simple Plan, make the song Untitled by Simple Plan your favorite song, get an emo/punk girlfriend, think the Backstreet Boys are gay (heck they are not! lol), have dark posters all around, get some piercings and change your avatar to long, dark haired.

Emo is shite. It's a load of ******* bollocks, yeh? BE GIRLY. BE FASHIONABLE. Be bright, and happy. Stay girly. I went through the emo / rock chick faze last year. I stretched my ear to a 10mm and everything. I dyed my hair black ... ¬_¬; after christmas, I decided it was all bullshit. I wanted to be a glamourous, sexy young woman. Not some ******* goff. So I took out the ear expander, and threw out everything that had skulls on, etc. I don't even wear liquid liner anymore, or heavy makeup. When I go out, I wear bright tunics, and skinny jeans, heels. And people say how pretty I look without all that hideous black makeup on. lol. my ear's ****** though now. it's floppy. probably for life. AND DON'T GET A TATTOO OF ANYTHING EMO EITHER. Just be yourself.
You don't have to follow some stupid trend that makes cutting yourself look good.
It's very stupid...and a serious problem..(I used to be addicted to cutting way before emo came along)
That's a big no no.
My boyfriend and me are often called "emo" mostly because our hair and the way we dress.
I used to think the style was cool until people wore it out.
Now ..
Whenever someone calls me "emo" (which by the way, I think sound like some sort of rare animal..)
I take it as an insult. That's the problem with teenagers today. Not everyone...just posers. They try so hard and they look stupid. I guess you'll get more attention by chicks if you grow your hair out and start wearing tight pants.
But I think it will look dumb just calling yourself emo..You'll look like a poser who tries too hard.
Just please...BE YOURSELF! IT'S NOT DIFFICULT AT ALL!

Come on man, real people dont need labels. Dont call anyone a goth, emo, prep, punk, jock, nerd, they are just being themselves! If u want to dress the way you descibed as "emo" then go ahead, but no one deserves to have a label and slapped on them, and that's all anyone ever sees.

uhh. well dye your hair black, wear black eyeliner and pait nails black. Wear skinny jeans and some band T shirts (can get them at HotTopic) A true emo can really see how screwed up our whole world/society is, and go on a tell people about it. if you want you can cut yourself- not all emos are cutters though.

well, i am one so I'll be nice enough to tell you.
1. wear black,skinny jeans, and some type of band shirt(led zeppelin, mettalica,A7X, etc)
2.get your ears pierced.
3.black eye liner
paint your nails black
4. listen to alot of emo/alternitive music.my collection includes MCR,linkin park,green day, gratful dead,A7X, the lis goes on.
5. emo hair cut, dye your hair black, and let your hair grow out so it covers you eyes...

and, most importantly, realize how screwed up the world truly is and go around telling people that.
