I have just finished listening to the whole album. I am not sure what catagory this album fits into, but its not rap. Its like...funky soul r&b kid music. weird woman voices and squeaky voices everywhere in the background. as i was listening to it i couldnt wait for it to be over. there's no way i can bump a single song from this album on my way to a party.
50's CD is actually rap.
these are my opinions

Since when was it up to the consumer to define what an Artist puts out. Kanye's album is what ever he says it is. YOU as a listener can take it how you want it. His album is creative and inventive and keeps hip hop music fresh. I am sure we could all have predicted the names of 50's records. Man Down and at least three other songs about gun toten. Kanye speaks to the middle class black man that didn't have to sell drugs or hustle to stay alive or was shot. Ive told people many times that i'm more kanye than 50. Kanye's album is hip hop and so is 50's. they represent two different views. For you to think that rap is only about what 50 talks about is narrow minded. Turn off your MTV Jams. Thanks Esco for putting it in a nutshell.

LMAO

For Those Who Ain't Listended To 50's Album Don't

It's garbage pop rap, from the fakest gangster there is, more horrible muffled flow over formulaic tracks, more "rhymes" about hard he is and how much money he has and how he will shoot you and how many girls he gets and how is superficial lifestyle is better than yours.

Which will equal more brainwashed kids, thinking this is Hip Hop, when it's not, have a look at how many of the song titles are to prove how hard he is, "Fully Loaded Clip","My Gun", "Man Down" and have a look at how many lame pop jingle songs are on this.

The sooner this culture destroying gimp is gone the better, they all fade away in the end and how can you be gangster when you wear eyeliner, leather pants and look like a deformed Bugs Bunny.

Do NOT waste your precious time and energy by listening to such awful trash.

Kanye and Dre are the by employing a approaches the terrific producer/rappers. Pete Rock replaced into stable back interior the day, yet did no longer do it that plenty. The RZA from Wu tang is incredibly stable too. And whoever stated Timbaland is greater proper than Kanye would not like song. Timbaland chants refrain... he doesnt rap.

are you serious? how old are you? i ask that because usually the younger listeners of hip hop like 50 Cents simple "i'll break ya face, im rich biatch" style. Kanye is more complex. he makes "GOOD music" he uses samples from all different genres of music from r&b soul to techno ("Stronger"). people who know about music especially hip hop can appreciate the hard work and passion Kanye puts in his music. 50 is all about one thing, being a hard bada$$ gangsta. 50s last 2 albums are the same as this one. no progression. cant be a gangsta forever...

I was jus wondering when someone else was going to notice this, you are so right my brother. Kanye is too soft to be hip hop, that CD should be put in soul rock funk section in the record stores.

I like "'I''l still kill'' with Akon on Curtis its heavy pure underground even Touch the Sky with Tony yayo

The only reason Kanye beat 50 cent esp in the US is not because people like him, A lot of haters of 50 cent went to buy kanye's disk just so that 50 losses

But worldwide sales combined with US sales 50 cent sold more

Kanye West has that Jazz feel to his music, it ain`t my thing, but some people feeling it. I`m more into grimey Hip-Hop, but Kanye doing his thing, and I respect him for that. He`s better then a lot of other mainstream artists lyrically. 50 cent can make good music when he wants, but right now he into making lame pop songs.

i agree, kanye sucks, the stupid sound effects and the wierd lady singing in every song, he's a fake loser, however 50's cd wasn't the greatest i'd listen to it 1,000,000 in a row before i'd listen to kayne's again
