I have 2 PC, both connected to a switch. The problem is, PC 1 able to get reply when I try to PING to PC 2. But theres no reply when I use PC 2 to PING PC 1.
I've tried to change ; IP, switch and even network card. What is the problem?

Hi there! How do you have these two computers connected? If you have it connected with an ethernet wire, please know that ethernet wires work only one way. You have to have a twisted ethernet wire (different from a regular ethernet wire) if you want to connect two computers with just a wire. Otherwise, you need to buy a router and connect one ethernet cable to one computer, and another ethernet cable to the other computer with the router being the source where both ethernet cables plug into. The router allows the communication between the two computers.

Like Martinmm said, probably a firewall setting on PC1 not allowing PC 2 to talk to it

I take it you have cable or dsl? If you do I personally would have to say call you IP and see what you can do. I had the same problem and the IP told me over the phone on how to fix the problem

Have you installed file and printer sharing on BOTH computers?
Have you made them part of the same workgroup?

check your cable.

have you tried cross connect cable to the computers?
