Oi you need some help with this one. First off I assume you mean ancient romans, ancient Greeks, not romans and Greeks of modern times. Second I assume you mean Rome as in the Roman Empire. Look on this page for points of interest.

For Greeks you can mean several different peoples. You could mean the Greeks under Alexander, or the greeks during the time of Spartans and 300.
http://www.ancientgreece.com/
That's a decent site with info.
as for kinds of people, I'm not sure I understand the question are you asking agrarian, barbaric war like, peaceful, or do you mean what they looked like, their clothing etc.
If you want some good examples of greeks and romans from ancient times here's a list of some famous ones
Aristotle, Herodotus, Ptolemy, Socrates, Alexander the Great, Julius Cesar, Octavius. You can find more on those websites

i am hoping no longer, considering the old roman and greek gods in conjunction with their mythology and specifically the works in their philosophers had been the basis of western civilization this whole time. they have got infrequently been forgotten, honey. they have got been the middle of our tradition all alongside, even showing prominently in christianity as saints, demons, in artwork and structure, the sort of our governments, the groundwork of our literature, ect and so on and so on. western civilization has ALWAYS been greco-roman, my expensive. whitewashing christianity over it hasn't transformed the main reality.

5th century b.c. was when Greek was at its peak.
Rome came later, but it started to crumble after year "zero", so to speak. So... 1st century BC, perhaps?
