my boyfriends son is getting married is it ok for me to wear a long dress???i always thought only the mothers should wear long dresses . i have not been to a wedding in so long and i'm not sure about the style changes. we have been dating for 5 years and living together for 2, if that makes any difference.

Ask the bride. It's her day, and she gets to pick. Do not wear a black unless it is a black and white wedding. Do not wear a dinstinctive print. Do wear a nice solid color that looks good on you. Do not wear the same color as the mothers or the bridesmaids. Have a great time, and enjoy the happy day.

I think you can wear whatever you are most comforable but if everyone else is wearing street length dresses you may feel a little out of place.
