I have had one Depo Provera injection and got my period for 5 months. It finally stopped a few weeks ago, and I am still waiting for my regular period I to return. Has anyone else had problems with the injection??

When I was on Depo I didn't get my period at all. Some women experience just the opposite and have an almost constant period. It all depends on how your body reacts to the injection.

You might not get a period again. You could spot at odd times of the month. You could start bleeding for months.

Too many women have some serious health issues with the shot, I'd really research this before you get your next shot and possibly find another type of contraceptive.

I was on this for four years. I am on Kariva (pill) now and a lot happier and side affect free.

Google "depo provera lawsuit" and check out the reviews at http://www.rateitall.com/t-330-birth-control-methods.aspx

When I was on Depo I didn't get a period, but I did gain 50 pounds. I would advise everyone not to take it. The side effects are a pain. When you do get your period they give you a dose of birth control pills, so you are getting a double dose of hormones. Too much!
