The laws are fine.

Unfortunately there's no power to enforce them.

You could make stricter laws, the only people it would keep the guns away from are law-abiding citizens.

Instead of new laws, we need more power to enforce the ones we've already got on the books.

Unfortunately, that would probably mean compromising people's rights to privacy etc, and that's not going to fly either...

Wow, there's just no easy solution is there... no wonder they haven't come up with one yet!

No. A gunless society is a lawless society. If you get stricter on the gun control, the only people that it will have an effect on is honest, hardworking citizens. The criminals wont care.

So I say this: "you can have my guns the day you pry them out of my cold dead hands!"

The only gun control I need is to use 2 hands (sometimes).

I think every person should own a gun in america. That way nobody will be more powerful than the other. Would you break into a house knowing there will be a gun pointed at you?

How are you going to enforce it? What happens when the southern border opens up and all the thiefs, rapists etc come flooding in? ( Watched the news lately)? Yeah, go ahead and give up you guns if you want to, but... WHAT GIVES ANYONE THE RIGHT TO TAKE AWAY MY 2nd AMENDMENT RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS? Sorry sis, I'm just not as trusting anymore of uncle sammy as I used to be.

Gun control laws NEVER keep guns from criminals. They ONLY disarm those who would use guns to STOP crime. The only law that would prevent gun violence would REQUIRE training and ENCOURAGE carrying weapons.

I accept as true with you. Criminals do no longer persist with the regulation and regulation abiding voters are no longer the subject. psychological ailment is a huge difficulty, as those people are no longer criminals yet a threat to society each and all of the comparable. however the respond is to no longer deprive all and sundry of weapons because of the fact of a few.

No, studies have shown that tighter gun laws increase crime rates (criminals have less fear of mugging people, breaking into homes etc.) Remember gun laws have ZERO effect on criminals as virtually all of them obtain their guns illegally.

Yes. I think we should have tighter laws, just like Canada.

In years past, people used to settle arguments with fist fights. Nowadays, they shoot each other.

We do have the right to keep and bear arms, but some people need to use some common sense before they shoot other people in their community. There is a difference between going hunting, target shooting, and having a weapon for potential national defense, and a young child being shot in a crossfire just because some gangs are having a turf war.

We want more fist fights and less gun violence.

This country has the highest death total from people being killed by guns. Gun control will not keep those who can prove they are sane and not criminals from having guns. Something has to be done.
