Catnip is a plant and there is an enzyme in it that cats go nuts for.

LOL my cat was orgasmic with it, I was like GET ME SOME OF THAT!!! It is from the catnip plant isnt it and from what can remember reading it makes the cat euphoric and hallucinate ant everything!!!HAHA

it's made from...well...catnip. it is a plant you grow, then dry the leaves out. it doesn't affect all cats, about 25% of them don't have the genetic marker that responds to it. otherwise it affects the same part of their brain the same way that marijuana affects ours...minus the munching on cheetos part.
