YES. Once I was rounding a very sharp turn on A1A, heading north into Palm Beach (if you've lived here, you'll know exactly what I mean, it's practically shaped like a letter Z) and this idiot in a Ferrari was going in the opposite direction, WAY too fast -- apparently he thought he could take the turn at about 70 in his new car, but he didn't realize you need to be a somewhat decent driver in the first place in order to do something like that! -- and he lost control and went hurtling across the road just past my car, missing me by INCHES, and wound up lodged in a stand of Australian pines on the opposite side.
Another time I was driving down I-95 when two cars right in front of me tried to get into the center lane at the same time. When they collided, one of them skidded off to one side and slammed into the embankment of an overpass and the other one spun around a few times and came to rest in the emergency lane, clipping a couple other cars on its way... and I flew right between them all at about 65 mph and came out unscathed. I was sweating bullets after that one!

Once in Los Angeles I was heading into town just before a place where the freeway branched off into three segments. I was in the center section when a guy driving a semi (truck & trailer) in the right-hand section suddenly decided FAR too late that he had to get over to the middle. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid getting killed. Didn't even have time to worry about who was behind me in heavy rush hour traffic. After managing to survive, I looked in the rear view mirror and was amazed to see how far behind me everyone was. They all expected me to get squashed and were probably as surprised as I was that there was no collision.

Yes, but it wouldn't have been fatal to me, but it was almost fatal to the drunk driver that turned in front of my big rig and I only had 20-30 feet to try to stop 80,000 pounds of truck and trailer!!! The drunk driver and his drunk passengers are lucky to be alive!!!

i've got been in touch in numerous injuries that should have been deadly... i think of that is why fairly some the human beings who know me call me an "angel strolling on earth." i think of that i'm merely like everyone else yet many snigger at me for that remark...
