LOL, hey...I trade stuff all the TIME!

Mind you not chickens and goats...but plants...I have amazing perennials now! Just had a Fall exchange and looking forward to the next Spring one.

I freecycle too...better in bigger cities (www.freecycle.org) and this way, you get to give what you don't need and ask for what you do! Got paint, a violin, plants...mostly give stuff away though...interesting what people give away sometimes...very generous people out there and it's a nice way to help others out too!

I only wish I could trade something for a goat...don't know where I'd put it though...dont' have a fenced in yard! LOL

And I've got enough Baaaaaad to the bone "kids" here already. LOL

No. We have machines and foreigners who will make everything we need. If you compare what life was like 400 years ago when everything was made by hand, the majority of 21st century Americans are lazy. as time goes on a job will be something most Americans won't be able to get, Unless they move to Asia. If we have no jobs to go to and we can't afford cars. There will be a lot less pollution. As for the chickens, they are already being raised and butchered by Mexicans.

Someone has to raise those chickens & goats, butcher them, etc. In order to raise the chickens & goats they need to be fed, so crops have to be grown, along with all the work associated with that. There would still be just as much work, just work of a different kind.

I think it would be humorous to watch you trying to convince the cashier at Wal-Mart to accept a goat and give you two chickens in change.

I just got my chickens toilet trained, they're worth a lot now, just as an FYI for the potential traders out here.
