(For the younger ladies)

How does it feel knowing you've got to shove a spazzing baby out of you using only the muscles you've got on the inside?

(I'm SOO glad I'm a guy)

It is the most amazing thing to do! Of course, you are never the same afterward....but it is amazing to know your body can do that! Since giving birth, I have often said, "Will it hurt more than labor?" Or "What? Only five minutes while you stitch my hand? Ha, I can bear THAT, I've given birth!" so its empowering. Bellydancing is a great way to strengthen abdominal muscles - and that helps the birthing process go more easily. Its a bizarre experience, freaky, and wonderful all at the same time. Anticipating the first birth is a bit scary since there is no real way to imagine it. It is NOT like pooping a football, as my friend says. Okay, maybe there are few minutes like that....

Well, my Dad had a friend in Butte, Montana. This guy's wife described,

"Having a baby is like trying to sh*t a football."

That's Butte, alright!

You said it dude, I'm a chick that is sooo happy I never had kids -- and not only because of what it does to the body.
The parental obligations turned me off.
Besides, my nephews are my kids.

I've actually went through natural childbirth with my only child. It wasn't that bad. I just looked at it like - I'm doing doing this for someone else's life! I didn't even take pain medications afterward.

Ha, I cheated - I had 2 c-sections!

When you really want a child more than anything in the whole wide world, you'll do anything and go through anything to get one. And quite frankly, that's why God gave childbearing to women - He knew the guys couldn't handle it and the human population would DIE out!

Having done it twice, after labor of five hours which were more boring than hurtful, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The women in my family have been incredibly lucky that we don't have major pain when we deliver.

I had a C-section, thank goodness. Tough recovery, but easy delivery.

When you put it that way....it sounds rather disturbing and unnatural. But when you think about it as bringing another life into the world then it doesn't sound nearly as bad.
