the red sox would win in 6 games and Dice-K would be the MVP of the series.

The Red Sox are in free fall. The Yankees have beaten them 5 of their last 6 games. If they face each other in the ALCS, the Yankees win.

Let's see the Red Sox can't beat the Yankees lately. The Yankees will win in (at most) 6 games.

Whoever posted that Dice K will get the MVP clearly hasn't been following much baseball lately. He may not even be in the postseason rotation. The only start Boston has that CAN beat the Yankees is Beckett and he only has 1 win against them in his last 3 starts. Given that hes probably going to need to start at least 2 games in the ALDS just to give Boston a shot at making it to the LCS he may only get one or 2 starts at the most against the Yankees. So I'm going with the Yankees in 5 or 6 as well. Yankee pitching is in much better shape than Boston's pitching right now. Everyone said there were question marks with Mussina and Clemens who were both dominant in their last starts. Add in Pettite who was born for the playoffs and Wang who can still grab the Cy Young and thats a pretty good Playoff rotation. Don't even go to the bullpen in the postseason for this argument. Papelbon has never pitched in the playoffs and MO is the greatest postseason closer PERIOD.

Right now I'm inclined to say the Yankees, considering that they've taken 5 of the last 6 from the Sox. But it's hard to guess.

As much as I hate to say it, Yankees. They've been hot and the sox haven't been consistent. The Yanks are swinging the bat hard and are very productive. If you make a mistake they'll jump all over it. As for the Sox, their Cap Varitek hasn't been doing much and it's really hurting the team.

Yankees in 5, Maybe 6

GM1: Yanks 4-2
GM2: Sox 5-1
GM3: Yanks 5-1
GM3: Yanks 7-2
GM5: Yanks 10-2

If it went to six: Yanks 18-0

As long as the Sox get back Rameriez and Youkilis, I say Sox in 6.

Depends on the weather. Game 1 Beckett wins. Three days of rain. Beckett wins game 2. Three days of rain. Beckett wins game 3. It's sunny for games 4, 5 and 6. Beckett wins game 7.
