I wouldn't tell someone that. It would freak her out and she might think it was a threat. There's really no reason that you would need to tell her this anyway.

Let's play reverse role. Pretend some female came up to you and said you look indentical to her ex-boyfriend who was killed. Wouldn't you find it a bit odd, out of the blue, and strange in a scary way? If someone told me that I wouldnt exactly get mad but it would really have me thinking the whole day in disbelief
So my point is some things are better left unsaid and my personal opinion is that this is better left unsaid.

Rude way - tell her to her face and just say you look exacly like my ex who was killed
Better way - leave an anonymous note on her doorstep sayin that (but be careful she might feel a little threatened and call the police)
Best way- Dont say anything!

NO the term ex says it all, let go and move on. People do not want to hear they look like anyone but perhaps a politician or actor.

Let me tell you one thing about women, never compare them to your mother or to your ex's, regardless of the situation. Women dont like to be compared to other women, even to dead people. To her it would be like you saying you see your dead ex girlfriend everytime you with her and its the same has saying you ALIVE exgirlfriend, just dont say anything to her if you really like her

If you are really aching to get this out, then I would suggest asking her if she is related to fill in the blank. If she says no, you can say oh okay, you look just like her. If she says yes, you can say, really? You look just like her.

You could ask her. She might be related to your ex girlfriend and you guys could talk about her death. You know, comfort each other. But then again, she might not be related, but it wont hurt to ask.
