If you think it should be rewritten who gets to rewrite it?
Neo-cons, crazy liberals, Democrats, Republicans, or A SCREAMING RADICAL like me.
Let me see. All laws must be in plain English, There is not case law at all if the law is not understandable then it is unconstitutional.
All persons must receive pre-military prep training from age 12 to age 18.
To obtain a vote you must serve a term of service of a min of two years or as long as the government has need.
Dueling is legal and very formalized.
All adults who served the term of service are responsible for enforcing the law.
Laws not part of the constitution have an automatic sunset clause of 10 years.
The heads of departments of government must be an elected member of congress. Congress may not spend any deficit except in time of war. War debt must be retired in 15 years of the end of conflict.
An attack against US soil by any group is a declaration of war that must be answered in kind.
The right to self-defense is absolute without legal consequences. (corollary no law may be passed that in any way restricts the ownership, procession, or carrying concealed or unconcealed)
The government must fund R&D for tech that is 7% of the total budget. Military spending will total 10% that does not include R&D.
Let me see OH yes charity is not the provence of the government therefore there will never ever be any kind of wellfare individual or corperate.

Does it matter? When the government wants to take a way around it, they do. Look at the Patriot Act, or, going further back, the concentration camps during WWII for American citizens.
Men of influence and power do what they want. That's just the way the world works.

Well, i don't think that it should be re-written, just more enforced. The government doesn't give children under the age of 18 almost any rights. And i think that it said something in there about freedom of speech.

Absolutely not. It's probably one of the most brilliant things ever written, which is why smart people complain when our government doesn't.

i want to say yes. but today there are so many different points of views and people who think they know best that it would be totally screwed up. Its best to leave it as is and just ammend things when they come up.
