200+30+5 is 235 because 200 and 30 end in 0 and the next number will only add into the spaces with the 0s. It is the same for the fractions 7/10 is .7, 2/100 is .02, and 1/1000 is .001. So that is .721 for a total of 235.721

The indicated problem involves adding whole number and fractions. But the fractions can easily be expressed as decimals because their denominators are multiples of 10. And we learned that dividing numbers with such, you just have to move your decimal point to the left with the corresponding number of zeros.

To rewrite the problem:
200 + 30 + 5 + 0.7 + 0.02 + 0.001

You can even add them mentally.
Answer: 235.721

all right first three equal 235 then you have to add the fractions which will be easier if you put them in decimals so 7.00 divided by 10= 0.7
2.00 divided by 100=0.02
1.00 divided by 1000=0.001
so if you add that up = 0.721 + 235
all together equals 235.721
or if you need it as a fraction it is 235/721/1000
good luck

If you can't use a calculator, multiply everything by 1000. That makes it easier to add fractions.
