It's the Triple A World Series, and I believe ESPN only has a MLB contract for Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights. They don't have the rights to show the pennant race games unless they pay extra.

Because it is all about ratings right? I mean, that is the answer you east coasters give as to why all the baseball attention is on New York and Boston on ESPN. You tell us "it is about ratings". So obviously, ESPN thinks that some minor league game will get better ratings than all other teams in baseball.

Because ESPN doesn't own the rights to broadcast any of the MLB games.

Because the Red Sox aren't playing the Yankees and they don't want their viewers to think there are any major league teams other than the Red Sox and the Yankees.

AAA world series wasn't it? it's only the deuce anyway. i love watching minor league ball. seein the players of tomorrow tearing it up.
