hello. I am currently a senior in High School. I will soon have to apply to the colleges of my choice after i retake the SAT. I want to become a veterinarian and i don't care how long it takes. But, the problem is that i did not work hard as i should have. I am planning to go into a transfer program and transfer maybe to UC davis for veterinary medicine. I have researched about Santa Monica College and it is said that it is easier to transfer to UC davis from there. Would transferring from a Cal state be more of a challenge? please help. I am going to make an appointment to talk to my counselor and also call UC davis.

thanks =)

The two I know of, other than UC Davis, are Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly Pomona. I'm a little confused about what you mean by a transfer program for veterinary medicine, since veterinary medicine is always a graduate program. If you went to Santa Monica College, which is a good community college, you would have to transfer to a university after two years. If you went to a Cal State, you probably would stay there for four years, before applying for vet school.

Consider the University of Califormia-Davis, Texas A & M University-College Station, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Cornell University.
