I love this question!!

If I had to pick one and only one, I would have to say Our Mutual Friend. Though not one of his better-known novels, it is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Other favorites would include David Copperfield and A Tale of Two Cities. I just recently started reading Bleak House, and expect it will be added to the list of favorites.

A Tale of Two Cities.
All the others (Great Expectations, Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, David Copperield, etc.) were great, but preachy.

A Tale of Two Cities. I just love that book. Sidney Carlton is one of the greatest literary characters ever.

My 2nd favorite is "A Christmas Carol" and my favorite holiday book.
