Same reason the democrats use the environment to get more votes. Same hypocrisy. Neither party is inherently bad, but neither is perfect either. They play the same games, same rhetoric, just with different positions.

I am a Christian and an educated life-long Republican.
I am far from stupid and I am far from feeling "used."
While the Left continually harps on the "hypocrites" of the right, the Left is pushing anything goes morality.
We agree there are hypocrites in both parties, we just disagree on how many in each.

Well, Religion is much better than the money hungry Liberals ... and money BTW is the root of all evil - How? Socialized healthcare plan, to subsidise the heck out of people, and keep the masses ignorant and not help themselves!

Republican moral values like being against abortion and gay marriage appeal to religious conservatives. Why shouldn't they use morality to appeal to voters. I prefer that than the Dimocrats selling out their country by favoring amnesty for all illegal aliens and sanctuary policies in cities and states in order to gain Latino votes.

I think you have it backwards. There are all sorts of stories of Democrats going to churches to pretend to be religious and try to get votes.
