Yes. Because, this isn't Reagens fault. From my understanding, these are two different scenarios.
Reagan had a few million illegals who actually wanted to be Americans, live here permantly, belong, become citizens, contribute to society, and wave our flag on 4rth of July.
Today, we have millions of illegals who use governmental services without contributing to state or federal income taxes, save up money, then bail back home.

Reagan gave amnesty to 9 million illegal aliens with the promise from his democrat congress that they would uphold the laws we have on the books. they didn't. Illegals were an issue back in 1950's too. It was Eisenhower who got rid of the 3 million illegals we had back then. He accomplished that by going around LBJ and reassigning all the border chiefs to new posts and put his own in place. The then had them over 90% gone is a little over 30 days. This lasted 10 years. What happened you say? In 1964, LBJ became president and the borders opened up once again.

We have way more than 3 mil now. Current estimates are between 12 and 20 million. Crisis, who knows? Probably, but what are we going to do??? It's way out of control. Ask Hillary, she can't decide on whether or not to let illegals have socialized health care when they come here.

Reagan forgot to lock the barn door.

His amnesty worked so good for the Mexicans, that they quadrupled their efforts to cross the border. That original three million has become close to 20 million because Reagan failed to draw a line in the sand.

Probably not.
Led to many more thinking, "OH, if we just go in and wait long enough, we'll get citizenship anyway!"

Makes me wonder. I never assume our Presidents are stupid (they may appear to be, or even pretend to be, but from what I know about REAL government, they aren't.

What do they know about the illegal alien problem that I don't know? Why give amnesty? What is it they are protecting us from?

That was a start, and a bad one too. Its something none of the president of either party have adequately addressed, but they need to. the American public is tired of it!

PS. I know ya hate Reagen Chi guy, but hes clearly not the only one to blame. The problem has only grown under all administrations!

PSS. hey Petey ..... Bonehead, and how much do you think got done during Billarys tenure? Try none!

Nope, three million times! This is what all the new illegals are saying---
"3 million illegals can't be wrong. If they can do it, so can we."

the short answer is no. it is a mystery other than one fact. Reagon was a tax-cutter and loyal capitalist. He thought is was good for business and, although loving hard-working mexican people, he knew us citizens were refusing to do the labor. the mexicans coming in illegally and the businesses who desperately needed them were accommodated. happy trails partner.
