of course there is still good in the world. If there was no good we would not have shelters or good wills or charity's etc. There is a lot of bad in the world but the more people that step up and do just a little bit of good make the world better every day. Not only do are people trying to make a differance in the world they usually have a better outlook on the world when they do, even if it is just volunteering once in a while for something you believe is a good cause. Over all people tend to focus more on the negative aspects of the world then the good, but with todays newspaper articles and the top headlines sometimes I can't blame them but in reality the world has never been perfect and there is always room for improvement. Do your little part and maybe you will feel better about the world.

Yes there is a lot of good left, people just seem to be making it worse for there own greedy needs. Some people need to get an attitude adjustment. It seems as the years go by kids aren't raised with enough strict rules so they end up making bad decisions. The world was a much better place just even 50 years ago. Where manners MATTERED. I say there is good left if you look at the positive things, and live your life in Christ.

I don't know if there's one saying in English but in Spanish we have one that says: "The good judge starts from his home", meaning that in order to make a judgment, you should first review yourself. So, to your question, I would suggest that you look into your heart, put in contact with yourself and find out if there's any good in you; if the answer is positive, then I would say, yes, there's still good in the world; because you, me and the others, are the world and make it what it is. What are you doing with that good in you, so to keep it alive in the rest of the world?

Believe it or not, I see some good right here. With some exceptions, people here treat each other well and do seem to care about each other. A lot of that has been lost in real life, and I myself make it a rule not to show anything that could be seen as weakness while going about my daily business. But it is good to know that I can come here and find people treating each other as well as we all still should in our real lives.

Of course there's still good left in the world. Every time someone gives a donation to charity, that's good. When people comfort a crying child, that's good. Love between two people, that's good. People who work for peace and justice in small ways, that's good. People who speak the truth even when their lives are in danger, that's good. Laughter of children, good. Visiting an elderly neighbor - very good.
See, there is good, and there is even more POSSIBILITY of being good and doing good if we but look for it.
Don't give up hoping! Look for the good and you will see it. Even one act of goodness is light in the darkness.
Be at peace.

You must not be around kids much. I had 7 here tonight. There is soo much joy and good in the world. Just listen to the laugh of a child. It makes all the rest worthwhile.

Let's see if I got this right.
You are a young, relatively attractive, career minded, white girl living in California.
My friend, that's damn near as good as it gets.
Let's see if I can put this in perspective. Imagine a giant amusement park, I mean this place has everything. It's got playgrounds, pools and water-slides. It's got restaurants, shops, theaters, museums and botanical gardens. It's got a giant fountain, a carousel, a Ferris wheel and a roller coaster. Kids are playing, lovers are flirting, people are dancing.
And you my friend are sitting in the corner staring at a dog turd, wondering why the world is full of sh1t.
The answer to your question is "DUH".

There's so much good in the world....it just gets shadowed by all the bad...people make more of a big deal about bad/evil things. People donating to those in need.. donating organs to complete strangers... playing good samaritan to crime victims.. taking up collections for coworkers who lost a family member.....surrogate moms.....offering a jump to someone whose battery died......pulling over to SEE if that person needs help............and on, and on....lots of good. One just needs to open ones eyes. It's all around.

Yes . . .
You're sitting in relative peace and comfort, entertaining yourself on a computer that's worth more than some families' entire annual income, and you don't even realize that your ability to do that is "good". You're clearly not worried about where your next meal is coming from, yet "good" does not come to mind.
You're able to work, go to school, and pursue happiness, yet you fail to see the magic of "good" in what you have everyday. The benefits of family, community, and nation must be too subtle to earn the label of "good"
Where did it go, you ask? I tend to think it's with people who don't appreciate it.

Yes, you just have to look for it. There are those willing to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return. There are those who still open the door for you and have a nice smile and say hello when your hands are full. There are lots of small jesters that go un-noticed every day........just look.
