I am a single mom,my ex-husband don't pay me child support.Where should I apply for help,in Illinois Child Support Enforcement or in my local court,or maybe both?

"To J-LO",just so you know I have 2 jobs 8.30-5.30,plus I'm student 6-10 pm,I,m not lazy,i just need help,becouse i see my son only weekends and in the mornings,and he has only me!

It has to be filed in the Child Support Office, but I notice that you said EX Husband. In your divorce the Judge should have Ordered him to pay you support. If a Judge did this then you need to go to your Clerk (Usually in the Court House) and file a Motion for Contempt. Good Luck hun. Best of wishes for you and your children

I'm sorry that J-lo said what they said there was no reason for it. the child did not ask to be brought in to this world and that was you and your husbands choice at the time. It is both parents duty to raise and pay for the child needs. If he was ordered to pay support and didn't call the child support unit and report him. They can take it out of his paycheck before he even gets paid and send it to you. if he has a job. or they could just send him to jail. but if after all that and still no help go get welfare and explane that you need the halp because he wont pay then they will give you what you need and they will take it from him and do all the durty work. but if there is an order for support then I would call child support unit. child support enforcement ... that's a no no.. I went through them years ago, whenever he got behind on his child support like 400.00 they get to keep 200.00 , I ARGUED..about where this money was going and why?? all they could call it was "arrears" what ever .. so i signed out... i mean why a they making a profit off my kid???
ok this is what u do go to ur local family and children services.. tell them u get no child support , they will give u a check each month for like 300.00 which he will have to pay back , they will get him through taxes or jail... i did this .. i drawed a check for 5 yrs, they took his first and last name... on that 5th yr. he got served that he owed all this money ,becos the state had been paying for his child.. now he had to pay up!!! after losing his income tax .. he decided to start paying me .. or i was drawing off the state again... there r ways gf.. o yeah... good luck ..

You can write to Dorothy Brown Circuit of the Court and her office will send you the necessary paperwork. be sure to include your docket# it starts with a "D". I went through this too.

Just think if there was no child support..if you were a strong women you wouldn't need a guys help to help you out..if he don't want to pay then thats his loss,don't let him see the child.Go out get a job, and do it your self!! Its sickening women are like that, get off the couch stop eating them bon bons and get an income. You don't need a guy to help you out with your child--Do it yourself!!
