Several years ago I took part in some studies being conducted at Washington University to make a little extra cash. The researchers got really excited over the fact that I was right and left brain balanced. They said it was speculated that less than 4% of the population were this way.

Are you also? How does it help you in your daily life?

For me it just seems that both sides are constantly pushing for control...lol.

Yes. Dead center on all the tests.

Makes it hard to make quick decisions because of seeing an issue from all sides, sometimes leading to over-analysis.

However, seeing issues from all sides helps me to think and reason more broadly, better understanding people and issues.

Well, I can walk upright and even chew gum at the same time, if that helps.

Actually, I am a little messed up. I am right handed and left eye dominant, which is an unusual combination. My left hand and arm are also stronger than my right.

It makes pistol shooting a little harder, and the only way I learned about my eye dominance was when I realized I use my left eye when I'm using a camera and almost all cameras are set up for right eye dominant people.

I suspect I was supposed to have been left-handed and someone intervened 64 or so years ago when I was developing my "handedness."

I am one of the most dysfunctional people I know. Any success in my life has been because I am too stubborn to accept defeat.

I have always thought that I might be. Throughout my life I've been accused by many of "over thinking" problems, but usually my so-called "over thinking" is what gets the task at hand completed properly the first time around!
I definitely fit the criteria on several points.
I had always thought that men and women have different preferred sides of the brain. For years I'd always perceived myself as being more left brain oriented, as I have always enjoyed, and excelled in the arts. It would be interesting to find out though. I'm going to see if I can be tested at one of our local Universities.

I am. It was referred as bi-brainal to me.

It makes me too sensitive, with an inner conflict that you seem to mention.
