Is it too early to trade in my hockey league? 12 team head to head, I had 5th pick. I need a better LW pretty bad and I have 3 goalies. So, what I was thinking was to trade Peter Budaj for Jason Blake (the guy I want to trade with only has 1 goalie). Is this silly?

Still think you need 3 goalies but that should be a great trade - still not sure if Blake is going to skate with Sundin or Wellwood - tonight Blake and Sundin are sitting out - have to see how they line up tomorrow - still even if he does line up with Wellwood the kid can certainly make nice plays and you never know they may go crazy but do the deal before he has a change of heart

It depends. I answered your earlier question BTW. Is it head to head or rotisserie? Weekly or daily changes?
I guess regardless, since you have Emery and Lundqvist, Budaj is expendable and Blake seems to be fair value and your LW do indeed suck.
Why does he have only one goalie? Makes me think it is rotisserie with weekly changes in which case you could hold off for a bigger deal involving one of the top 2 goalies.

I doubt he'll take Buday for Blake, even if he has only one goalie. He can probably do a lot better than that. In any case, it is not too late to make a trade if you can get someone to do it. Good luck!
