And I am not saying/picking on only foreigners(some I am sure are honest) but dating foreign men for about one year there is an increase in this "double standard" idea...whereas I have found American men don't cheat as much(my experience)only. There just liars and asses about other things.....

They cheat because they think they won't get caught, but if they do i'm pretty sure they should get punished somway because they are commiting adultery.

Why have you singled out foreigners? I can tell you for a fact that this is not the only population sub-group who does this. Take Catholics for example. It's against their religion to have sex before marriage, or to use birth control. Now, why is it, that they listen to the 'no birth control' rule, but not the no sex rule? This way, we have little Catholic single mums running around everywhere. This is just ONE example of a double standard, and from only one sub-group, and yes, it really does happen. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples from different subgroups.
Also, some of the cultures or religions that exist today allow multiple marriages, so, it wouldn't be a double standard for them to keep their first wife, but 'cheat' on her with the second wife.

Mostly because some of the foreign cultures allow for outside relationships and even multiple wives. It isn't a double standard for them regardless of what our culture stands for. Don't stand for it and don't get involved. And never believe what a married man tells you just to get in your pants no matter what his cultural background. Their basic premises never change. It's always my wife doesn't understand me, I'm not in love with her anymore, I'm only there for the kids, I'm a foreigner, it's different. Please. The excuses don't change because they come from a different country. They just try to hook you with whatever charm they can.

It is only allowed because we put up with it. This is just a way they keep the back door open. By doing this, they can never become committed to anyone because they are married. (ha ha) This is a have your cake and eat it too situation. I understand cuz I live this scenario. They swoop in and take the best of you and dont have to take any of the bumps in the relationship cuz they are married and they will remind you of that in many subtle ways. My advice? If this is your life, get out because he is just sucking you dry. Find someone who wants you and only you. He is out there, I'm looking for him too. It all comes down to how much you are willing to put up with and for how long. Good luck, Hon.

In some cultures women are second class citizens.
Men are allowed to do whatever they like nearly but if a woman tries doing anything out of line then she may get punished. The man is the one who is in charge. He wants to have his cake and eat it too but won't allow a woman to share the same privilege. It's sexism at its worst.

foreign men cheat on their wives but say they cannot divoice because it is against their culture it makes plenty since to them if they can have their cake and eat it to thats the way i look at it. double standards are allowed because they are men thats why

I think it's a security thing for men. If they cheat, they don't have to look for a sure thing, and can have all their fun. But if divorce happens, then they have to look again, and see if a woman would have them. But as far as the catholic religion goes, religiously speaking...cheating is grounds for divorce.

hey even in catholicism ...divorce is highly frowned upon...and in some countries, Brasil and Mexico being 2 of them..Divorce actually is against the culture...it still happens but is rare..whereas cheating is pretty much standard game...NOT ok...but is rather common...aslthough it happens PLENTY here in the US as well...
