Mom Is a Suspect in Madeleine McCann's Disappearance?

I'm interested in to knowing what is your opionan for her being guilty of Madeleine's death.
in the article, it says:

Gerry McCann's sister, Philomena, told ITV news that Kate McCann has been offered a plea deal of two years or less in jail if she admits to accidentally poisoning the child, ABC News is reporting.

to me this is pretty suspicious.

Until they arrest her and convict her in court, my opinion is that she's innocent. Fact is that parents are ALWAYS suspects when a child disappears, just like a spouse or significant other is ALWAYS a suspect when an adult is murdered. That doesn't mean that every child that disappears was killed by their parents.

The same thing happened in the Jon Bonet Ramsey case in Colorado last decade. People who didn't know squat about the case, just like you and me, as well as the tabloids, accused those poor parents for 10 years of killing their own child. Even the police did, because they were too lazy to do the leg work to find out who really did it. Those people lived with the accusations, insults, dirty looks, and humiliation for years. Guess what? Turns out they didn't do it. The media and know-nothing readers all accused them and mentally tortured that couple for nothing right up until the mother died a couple of years ago.

That doesn't mean the McCann's didn't do it. Doesn't mean they did it, either. It DOES mean that you don't know. I don't know. The media doesn't know. Until she officially accepts a plea or is convicted, I am assuming NOTHING. That's the SMART thing to do. It is the RIGHT thing to do.

In the meantime, I'll never understand the morbid obsession some of you people have with this case. Someone asks about it just about every half hour on here. It's kind of sick, if you ask me.
