is it acceptable to wear a black dress to a wedding, as a guest...I've been searching for a dress to wear & all i can seem to find that I like are black dresses.....my boyf says no but i say different....so anyways your answers are greatly appreciated..and if anyone know where i can find a great dress for a REASONABLE price on the net I'd appreciate the info...btw I'm 24 so i'd like something classy yet fun just not juvenile. :) also the wedding is in mid Oct in NJ and it's gonna be cold....
I'm NOT the bride people....just a GUEST...so please no preaching about how a bride shouldn't wear black!! thank you

I would never wear black to a wedding not only is it bad luck but it symbolizes bad luck . so please find another color to wear .

I think black is okay if its a wedding at night, otherwise I'd say no to black in a daytime wedding. Check out bodyc.com . They have fashionable young clothes at a great price. I always find awesome dresses and suits at Ross if you have one where you live.

lol well it kinda depends... i know her a wedding i went to i yelled at my mom and told her that i wouldnt wear black and end up making someone mad... but at the wedding quite a few ppl wore black. so idk if u think ppl will be wearing that than suree go for it but if not u should probably stay away from black..

this one is a pretty cute dress and u can wear a white cropped sweater over itt...might be a little expensive bt i def think its cute http://www.edressme.com/4582.html it also has a section on dresses FOR wedding guestss... i thot it was pretty funnyy lol.

I wouldn't wear something that dark to a wedding. If you really want to wear that black dress, wear a light colored dressy jacket or cardigan over it, because you said it would be cold. ♥
