Fashionable people call their children after the place where they were conceived:

Brooklyn Beckham.
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.
Obviously, because they were conceived in "Brooklyn" and "Shiloh" respectively.
Do you think that everyone should follow suit?
What about:
Broom-Cupboard Becker?
After the little escapade by Boris and Model Angela Ermakova in a Japanese restaurant in London.
Perhaps we non-celebrities could join in :
What about :
"Back o' the Bike-shed Billy?"
"Table-ender Tommy?"
" Hire car Harry?"
"Principal's Office Priscilla?"
"Office Party Olive?"
"Water-cooler Walter?"
"Wedding rehearsal Wendy?"
"Back Porch Boris?"
Let me know what you think?
Have you got any ideas?

Have you boys and girls no bright ideas?

"Concord wash-room @ Mach 2 Millie"
"Boeing 747 back seat Billie"
"Private Lear Jet Larry"
"Bus-shelter Sheila"
"Presidential Motorcade Martin"
"Oval Office Oliver"
"Lincoln Bedroom Basil"

I dont think its actually that new.
Are you telling me that names such as kimberly, kirk, sharon or babara were around 100 years or so ago? new names are always cropping up, I remember many odd names of children in my class that I just accepted as normal, until I grew older and found noone else had those names,
(names like Elara, Amore, Billy (not William, he was actually christened Billy), Chastise, Amreica, Bouthy...my mum nearly called me Tuesday (in honour of the addams family and cos I was born on a tuesday, or mercadies, but she settled for jenny.) I dont think unique naming is unusual, and most celebs will often change their own names once they become famouse, prehaps tis is what they are doing for their offspring: just rying to mae a name for them so they will be remembered.

Good question personally I think it's ridiculous as you say if we were to join in there would be some weired and wonderful names. I wonder if they stop and think that their poor children have to live with these names.
