Uh, do you mean when I'm walking down the street and I hear a horn honk?
I mean, there's no way of knowing, from the sound of a horn, the sex of the person using it, or who, exactly, they are honking at.
Since it's a loud noise that often means "danger" I look around to figure out who honked, and why. (That is, did someone I didn't see nearly run me over.)
If it turns out to be some guy I don't know, or otherwise not of interest to me (it wasn't someone I know, or someone trying to help me avoid dying) I go back to walking.
Sometimes people ask me directions.
One time I saw a guy driving, and thought that's what he wanted.
Then he said "I'm Steve. Do you date?"
I'm laughing while I type this. Apparently he expected me to jump in his car and end up in his bed or something.
I walked on, shaking my head.
BTW, it's rude to honk, unless it's to alert someone that you're about to run over them or run into them or something like that.
I know no women who will jump in a car and have sex with a guy just because he honked the horn. I gather that there is a financial arrangement like that, but, no, I'm not a hooker.

It doesn't happen to me anymore now that I'm older but years ago, when I was a teenager, I used to get that all the time. One time, when I was walking home from school, a car came right up behind me (I was walking on a street with no sidewalks) honked the horn and slammed on the brakes. It scared the crap out of me and I turned around and glared at the driver. It turned out that person was a fellow student and seemed quite embarrassed. I can't help but wonder if he thought I was someone else because he quickly backed off and drove away.

You asked: "women what do you do when you are walking down the street and a man honks at you with the car horn? "
I wonder, if not the carn horn - what else may they be honking with? O_o
Anyway, I notice quite a few seem to enjoy 'annoying' the honker... kinda silly, really... some guy is trying to say "hey, you look nice" and all you can do is get offended and react aggressively? Maybe that's a small area where feminism shows it's unnatural contempt for men ...

I used to find it flattering when I was younger, but now I find it incredibly rude. I generally just ignore them. The worst is when I'm trying to hail a cab and some losers slow down and they're all "hey baby, need a ride?" It's an uncomfortable situation b/c they know you can hear them, but I just don't make eye contact and pray that a cab will just hurry the f up.

I just ignore them. And hope they drift into the on-coming traffic so that the cars can beep their horn at them, flip them off, and curse them out. I figure, let the other motorist do it for me. I've seen that happen. Too funny.

If it's in a flirtatious manner, all he's doing is demonstrating that he finds me attractive, which I take as a compliment, no need to get offended by that.
I usually smile and continue on my way.

I don't even do anything usually, I just ignore them. I find that that pisses them off the most.
