I believe in a Supreme Being (whether you want to call it God, Nature, an evolutionary 'big bang' theory, or some intelligent designer), but I don't believe in organized religion, which is nothing more than another big business.

I believe that gun owners should register their firearms, just as they register for driving privileges. Not as a matter of 'control', but as a matter of public safety. Gun owners who obey the law should have no problem with this; it protects them in the event one of their guns are stolen and used in the commission of a crime. Guns don't kill people - only cowards kill people.

I believe gay marriage is not any of the government's business. You can't legislate morality, and the government has no right to tell us who we can co-habitate with or marry.

Webster defines "conservatism" as "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change."

Webster defines "liberalism" as "a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of man, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties."

Based on those definitions, it seems to me that there's a little bit of "liberalism" and "conservatism" in most of us.
We would be better off investing our time and energy in trying to unite this country instead of listening to all the hate-filled, bias, bigotry of our favorite political pundits who only want to brainwash us into their way of thinking. It's really sad that most of us who give ourselves these artificial labels don't even truly understand what they mean. I don't care if you're a liberal or a conservative; you have the right to express your viewpoints and embrace your freedoms.
Unfortunately, since most of us don't even comprehend whether we're 'liberal' or 'conservative', we resort to childish name-calling, juvenile jabs, barbaric insults, and rude insults instead of offering intelligent discord and valid arguments for "our side". -RKO- 09/18/07

I believe in God.
I think Gun Control is being able to hit your target.
And as far as Gay Marriage goes, God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

I agree with first answerer: I believe in God, but don't think God and politics should mix- it's (supposed to be) a free country. I don't have a gun, and I'm not gay, so those are none of my business- neither affects me.
