There is a green dot on QB's helmets on the top back near the crown I don't see it on other position players what's the deal.

It's a decal that represents that they have radio communication in their helemet. Usually the QB wears it, and only one person on the field may have radio communication.

It's a to let people know that they have a transmitter in their helmet so that they can talk to the coach the only problem is that it's only a sticker so other people could have one in their helmet and just pell of the fricken sticker and people wouldn't know.
