His son is a lawyer, imagine that. If being a lawyer is a problem I guess you have a problem with most of our Congress. There are more lawyers there than not. Kerry is a lawyer, Kennedy is a lawyer, Clinton is a lawyer.
That his family has connection with Guiliani, well they are lawyers and Guiliani will need representation. And Kerry, Kennedy, and Clinton are Democrats they would probably lead him astray intentionally. So they got someone who wasn't a Democrat. You got a problem with that?
If that is the best you can do as far as finding something wrong with Mukasey he must be a damn good choice. Librarians imprisioned in Cuba-- Give me a break.

So you don't think his years of experience ascending in legal status as a law student-- graduating Columbia U and attended Yale as well; and being a lawyer then Judge qualifies him?? What does being a Jew have to do with this? I don't want any part of the prejudice your selling! This Country does not need to go backwards! We are races and religions united in one quest--brotherhood of this nation!! And keeping it Gold! His recognition and appointment in 87' by Reagan to the Federal bench where he sat and heard and adjudicated all types of criminal and terrorism cases in the United States District Court in New York, that city so terribly plagued with terrorists--he has great knowledge of all the aspects of their prosecution! He is not in anybodies pocket and we need him! This man has a proven background a lifetime of meritorious work performed for this nation by being an honorable Justice.

Law schools let in anyone with the required criteria to pay for their educations. And then states allow qualified applicants to sit for their bar exams.
They do not bar people of various ethnicities.
I've heard that Mukasey is a qualifed and good choice, and until I see something other than race bashing, from users like you who do nothing else, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not understanding your train of thought...white Christians hate Jews? All Christians don't wear white robes and burn crosses..
In fact it has been my experience that any Christian (black, white, red or yellow)worth their salt, respects the Jewish people as dictated by God.
My brand of Christianity respects everyone...not everyone actions...but everyone as a person.
I think he deserves what he has gotten...it was not handed to him, it was earned....only time will tell how well he functions in his new role....then we can decide whether we like his accomplishments based on their merits...not his religion.
