We saw all kinds of grandstanding by Dems when this problem came out. They were all blaming Bush. What have they done since then? Have they done anything to change the situation at Walter Reed?

The executive branch is responsible for fixing Walter Reed...... The president of the United States is the commander in chief of the armed forces and is responsible for the well being and treatment of every American Soldier...

What VA problem? You're talking about one hospital out of hundreds. I went to my local VA this morning. There wasn't one thing wrong there and I'd go there long before I'd go to a civilian hospital. I've worked in three local hospitals and believe me, they are much worse than the VA ever was.

I agree with you but I think they were just opening a can of worms they had no intention of doing anything about. It was just one more thing they wanted to blame on Bush.

Same as all the other issues they ran on and brought up during their initial days - NOTHING!

As for the President refusing to sign bills (or over rule them), the current President holds the record for the least number of Vetos.

They can write all the bills they want, but if the President refuses to sign them, they don't have a large enough majority to over-rule him.
