A tree in my yard was 1/2 dead, so we cut it down. The remains of the tree are stacked near our fire pit, and we are slowly burning it away. There are all these "bee" looking bugs all over the larger pieces from the trunk. I was worried it was termites, but I checked for pictures of them, and, thank GOD, they don't look like termites. They fly, have the body of a bee, and have long legs like spiders. GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
Anyone have a link I can read up on my bugs that are creeping me out? Or ANY information would be helpful.

Ok Thomas, I like your answer, and that link you gave me is interesting, but I still can't find MY bug. Actually, it looks just like the one pictured on that website as "flying insects", but when I click that catagory, I do not see THAT display picture. What's up with that?!?

another addition, because I STILL have yet to see the bugs in my back yard. From stfy(something) girl...about the paper wasps...YOU FREAKED ME OUT!!! but...here's the deal, they DO like like those, except they have more of a see through body. They are back & yellow, like a normal bee, but more of an irredecent color. Whatever they are, I KNOW they can't be good. I think I'll go out and spray the logs with wasp killer, just to be a little safe.
