Some simple, easy steps you can take:
1. Eat less meat-it's very environmentally costly to grow grain, transport it, feed it to cattle, and then transport the cattle to humans.
2. Take public transportation
3. replace your lightbulbs with CFL bulbs-75% more efficient; 10 times longer lifespan
4. Eat local- buy fruits and veggies in season in your area instead of having them shipped at enormous environmental cost thousands of miles to your doorstep
5. Turn off the pc when you're not using it
6. Unplug appliances you aren't using
These are things that are so very easy, but can really make a difference.
Good luck!

1. Use less energy. Burning fossil fuels puts carbon dioxide into the air.
2. Buy less stuff. Making and transporting goods uses up a lot of energy, again adding carbon dioxide to the air.
3. Recycle everything you can. Making new goods from recycled materials uses far less energy than starting with raw materials that were just harvested, mined, or collected.
4. Plant trees and other plants; encourage others to do the same. Plants remove carbon dioxide from the air.
5. Eat less meat. It takes a lot of energy to raise livestock, and livestock put methane into the air. Methane is an important greenhouse gas.
