Interestingly, this came up today in a discussion. Financial gain is neither good or bad, however, the associations that we have and the meaning that we attach to financial gain is more to the point.

Well, hello...
Isn't that the main purpose of getting an education? I mean, if you aren't educated, you can't support yourself...you can't even ask someone if they "want fries with that" if you are illiterate.
Of course, once you are financially secure, you are free to pursue education for your own personal enjoyment.

Nothing is wrong if you do things legally, It is your right to do what you think is best for you and your future. It's not only financial gain you will get by farther studying but respect from your community.
