To the guy that said have the car inspected. I would like to have it inspected and was wondering if u knew how much it would be to tow and have the vehicle inspected at a chevy dealer in va.

Insurace wise I do not have much choose when it comes to the price, I am 18 and I do not have much a choice..... I hate insurance companies

I would not pay $110 a month insurance for a $500 car. It has to have more problems than a fuel pump relay to only sell for $500.

It would be worth spending a $100 to have the car completely inspected and diagnosed before spending $500 on it. It is likely to need a new engine, transmission, complete rear-end rebuild, driveshaft, brakes, and who knows what else.

Good Luck!

Hmm.... Sounds fishy to me. If it was as simple as a fuel relay then why wouldn't this guy just replace it? Selling a car that starts/runs is a lot easier ( and cost effective) than selling something that needs to be hauled away.

What kind of symptoms are we talking about? No fuel could be a host of things.

to tell you the reality, i do no longer think of i've got ever seen a motor vehicle with 556,000 miles. $1200 may well be approximately perfect if it had say one hundred twenty five,000 miles and the physique grow to be nonetheless in especially stable shape. in case you may get $500-$750 evaluate your self fortunate. so a good distance as NADA and KBB classes, if the mileage you indexed is right, you could throw those out the window. they might't regulate for mileage that best.

If it is carbureted 305 or 350 cu in. they are fun cars.May need new carb. if it will not smog.Be happy with it if it needs one or do not buy it.You actually would be happier with a fuel injected car and they are hard to find at that price.
