Plante
Dryden
Bob, it was poor set-ups from the beginning.......there were matches that just shouldn't have happened (or voting that defies what the experts think)

There is no denying Vadislav Tretiak IS the best goalie to every play. Wasn't the quote from Herb Brooks something like "If you score on Tretiak, keep the puck. It doesn't happen often"
Ken Dryden is 3rd place

Tretiak in the Finals. Plante was an outstanding goalie, but Tretiak was just a bit better, and proved it on more stages.
Kiprusoff in the Consolation. Dryden was a good tender, but Dryden had so many more All-Stars in front of him, and they made him look better than I think he actually was.

Shock and awe. How Kiprusoff and Tretiak ever made the finals is beyond me.

Plante - even Tretiak would agree he owes everything he learned to Jake the Snake
Dryden - he won cups - Kipper hasn't
